Abstract
Internet stvari je relativno novi termin i nova tehnologija koja pokazuje veliki potencijal u industriji i ostalim područjima ljudskog djelovanja, te može imati i veliki utjecaj na život pojedinca. U ovom završnom radu iznesena je povijest nastanka IoT tehnologije, pregled funkcionalnosti IoT tehnologije, primjena na obrazovanje inženjera uz primjere iz stvarnog života. Obrazovni sektor se konstantno razvija, što je posljedica novih tehnologija. Zbog konstantnog razvoja, obrazovne institucije neizbježno moraju promijeniti svoje postojeće okvire radi promicanja učenja i poučavanja u 21. stoljeću. Svjedoci smo svakodnevnog napretka i rasta tehnologije koja povezuje i omogućava komunikaciju kako između ljudi, tako i između uređaja.
Abstract (english)
Internet of things is a relatively new term and a new technology that shows great potential in industry and other areas of human activity and can have a great impact on an individual's life. In this undergraduate thesis, an overview of topics such as the history of IoT technology, an overview of the functionality of IoT technology, application to the education of engineers with real life examples will be presented. The education sector is constantly evolving as a result of new technologies being implemented every day. Due to constant development, educational institutions need to reform their existing frameworks in the goal of higher quality learning and teaching in the 21st century. We are witnessing daily advancements and growth in the field of technology that connects and enables communication both between people and devices.
